**Job Title: Hospice Receptionist/Administrative Assistant**
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented person to join our team as Hospice Administrative Assistant and Receptionist.
Previous experience is a plus.
Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
Job duties consist of, but are not limited to:
- Answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Responsible for maintaining a professional and welcoming environment in the reception area and ensuring that all visitors are attended to in a timely and courteous manner.
- Completes miscellaneous clerical projects/tasks i.e. data entry, word processing, filing, and ordering of equipment and supplies as assigned.
- Provides other administrative assistance and support duties as directed by the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize and manage several responsibilities simultaneously in a timely fashion without compromising accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness.
- Complies with hospice policies and procedures, laws and regulations, standards of practice, and established work rules.
- Maintains accurate tracking systems to review documentation and ensure compliance.
- Prepares reports and documents for use at the weekly interdisciplinary group meetings and ensures prompt return of documents and records.
- Keeps track of certifications, re-certifications, physician orders, assessments, and logs as required.
- Assures sufficient availability of admission packages and clinical/medical forms for staff's use.
- this position may also involve some HR responsibilities such as onboarding new staff members, maintaining personnel files and records, coordinating employee benefits, and assisting with payroll.
**Experience:**
- Previous experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant preferred
- Proficient in using office management software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software systems quickly
- Excellent file management and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
