Position Summary …
As Healthcare Accounting/Finance/Administration Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and oversee the daily accounting, finance and administrative functions of the organization. You will ensure that appropriate accounting principles and practices are understood and followed and that company records are maintained according to GAAP. This position is full time, “in office” and includes the following duties:
- Day to day management of our QuickBooks Accounting platform including A/R, A/P, Payroll, Reporting and Cash Flow Management;
- Collection, analysis and presentation of financial data in order to facilitate decision making by Senior Management;
- Production of ad hoc financial reports as well as Weekly, Monthly and Annual Reports including Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss and Cash Flow Statements;
- Engage in various management accounting projects across multiple practice locations;
- Put in place and assure effective internal controls, and maintain up-to-date, written accounting policies and procedures;
- Assure that accounting processes are timely and efficient, including monthly closings, the identification, tracking and collection of all receivables, and the identification, coding and payment of all payment obligations;
- Interact with the management team to oversee the annual budgeting process, assuring that departments have the information they need to build accurate and useful budgets; and
- Active participation in any other accounting, financial, planning, management or other matters impacting the organization.
Responsibilities …
- Data Analysis. Extracting, organizing and analyzing company wide financial and performance data.
- Manage Cash Flow. Forecasting cash flow and providing regular reports to senior management.
- Prepare Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting Reports. Gathering, organizing and presenting financial and/or cost data.
- Approve Invoices and Manage Vendor Contracts. Managing significant dollar approval threshold to act as a control for large purchases.
- Budget Preparation and Analysis. Work closely with key individuals in other departments to generate annual and quarterly budgets.
- Manage Month-End Close. Finalize and close out all monthly financial activity and financial statements, review amortization and depreciation schedules, reconcile bank statements and cash receipts.
- Ensure Financial Compliance. Understand reporting requirements, ensuring proper resources are on hand to meet those requirements and overseeing the final product being delivered to external parties.
- Identify Cost Savings. Understanding opportunities for operational efficiencies and execute cost savings programs.
Skills and Qualifications …
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
- 3 to 5 years or more years of experience as an accounting or finance manager
- Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant) desired but not required
- 3 to 5 years or more experience in the Healthcare industry
- Proven experience working with Google Sheets, Excel, QuickBooks and PowerBI
- An entrepreneurial attitude that can work independently to meet strict deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a high level of analytical and professional skills
