Job Description
Are you a creative individual with the ability to create new designs, as well as build upon existing ones? Image Associates is seeking an entry-level Graphic Designer to join our team. As a Graphic Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects and contribute your unique ideas to bring them to life.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing graphic design expertise and support in creating marketing, outreach, and educational materials — in printed and digital form — including visually appealing presentations, infographics, illustrations, figures for scientific publications, banners for websites, print layouts, and visual elements to promote seminars and other events. You must be able to follow existing brand guidelines using in-house templates, as well as to be able to come up with new creative concepts that complement existing or past designs.
As the designer, you must be able to work closely with senior-level designers and other personnel to ensure high-quality work. This includes working with copywriters and editors, as well as directly with the end client. You will be expected to collaborate with team members to ensure designs meet the objective, adhere to the brand, and that any suggested feedback be accepted with an open mind and made in an accurate and timely manner.
The ideal designer will be expected to work on multiple projects at once, providing consistent and timely results. This will require a great attention to detail, the ability to work with different clients at once, and the capability to balance the deadlines for each.
Currently, this is a remote position; however, you must be able to periodically travel to Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, for meetings or on-boarding requirements.
Responsibilities:
· A talent for creativity and problem-solving.
· Participate in various design projects from concept to completion.
· Assist with the preparation of presentations and marketing materials.
· Create visually appealing layouts and graphics for our clients.
· Ability to work well within a team.
· Collaborate with team members to understand client requirements and develop creative solutions.
· Listen to feedback to hone skills and improve designs.
· Knowledge of design techniques, such as prototyping.
· Be a self-starter. Possess time management skills to ensure all design projects are completed within the given timeframe.
· Provide support to other team members, as needed.
· Be able to accurately track and enter your time for each project using our database. This includes entering detailed monthly notes about the work requested and the project status.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or three years of working experience as a Graphic Designer.
· Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
· Solid understanding of design principles and color theory.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
· Portfolio demonstrating creativity and a strong eye for design.
· Ability to travel to Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, as needed.
