THE JOB
The primary responsibility of the Gourmet Food Server II is to provide excellent service throughout serving the customer to include, delivering customer orders, maintain tables and exceed guest satisfaction. The server is also responsible for general cleaning and performing side duties.
THE DAY TO DAY
Welcome guests with a warm and relevant greeting, utilize your knowledge of menu, guest preference, service and selling techniques to guide selections
Knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, preparation method and time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation
Be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
Maintain table cleanliness and utilize a silent service approach
Itemize bill correctly and efficiently secure payment
Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
Work as a team, assist guest and employee needs and inquiries
Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required
Perform other job-related duties as requested
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and on-call
