Primary Purpose: The Food/Beverage Runner is responsible for providing courteous and prompt tableside service to guests, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their dining experience. The runner must effectively describe dishes and answer guest inquiries.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure a positive experience
- Expedite food delivery from kitchen to table in accordance with service sequence and kitchen directives
- Describe dishes upon serving and address guest questions
- Provide information on menu features, including changes and additions
- Coordinate with kitchen expeditor to ensure accurate food delivery
- Complete assigned opening and closing side-work
- Communicate guest needs to kitchen and management, reporting guest feedback and assisting with smooth operation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of station, service area, and dining area
ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- Flexibility for on-call availability
- 6 months of full-service restaurant experience
- Preferred experience in fine dining settings
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification
- At least 6 months of prior relevant experience
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Experience in fine dining and three-meal restaurant settings
