Salary range: $28.50 - $34.50 per hour.

The Holland Team consists of individuals that demonstrate strong leadership, communication, team-building, and decision-making skills.The GL Accountant is responsible for managing a full range of accounting duties for their assigned properties in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s Core Values.
- Process day-to-day general accounting for specified property portfolio.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries related to specific accounts.
- Complete month-end close process.
- Ensure financial statements are properly recorded and presented monthly.
- Maintain accurate journal entries into the ledger system.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports.
- Complete fiscal onboarding functions for new properties.
- Research, resolve and balance to ensure reconciliation of accounts.
- Review source documents and records for accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules to ensure accuracy of transaction recording.
- Ensure resolution of account discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Senior Accountants, Property Managers and Regional Property Managers to ensure timely and accurate pre-close activities are recorded.
- Serve as a resource to site staff on topics related to property accounting.
- Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.
- Conform to company apparel standards and set a positive example for all Associates.
- Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting strongly preferred.
Experience: One year experience in property management accounting required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting may be considered in lieu of specified work experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of Yardi preferred.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative.
- Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
- Familiar with real estate management a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GL and accounting principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.
Attendance: This full-time position requires regular and punctual attendance compliant with the schedule set to meet company needs. Additional hours or overtime may be required.
This position also requires:
- Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
