Full-Time Staff Accountant

Location: Inpatient Facility - Saranac Lake, NY

Position: Full-time Staff Accountant

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm 

Pay Range: $21.00/hour to $29.00/hr 

Position Summary: Responsible for monthly reconciliations and preparation of reports for the BOD.

Education and Training: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.

Experience and Work Knowledge: Two to three years’ experience in applicable field, working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands: No extraordinary physical demands required.

Essential Duties:

• Record and reconcile all monthly Netsmart Revenue on an accrual basis.
• Record all loan transactions and reconcile all bank deposits to reconcile to the monthly bank statements.
• Record all monthly deferred and grant revenue accruals.
• Process all appropriate allocations so all positions that are shared are expensed correctly on the financials.
• Review and check General Ledger transactions for accuracy on a monthly basis.
• Prepare a monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet for management review.
• Manage Paylocity by making all status sheet changes for staff, provide technical assistance with all staff and managers to provide accuracy of all timecards, process bi‐weekly payroll.
• Provide assistance to the Accounts Payable Specialist and Finance Assistant as needed.
• Provide Payroll and Revenue/Expense reports to managers monthly and as needed.
• Assist managers with questions and prepare any requested reports that is requested.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and financial reporting.
• Assist with audit preparation and assisting with questions during audit periods.
• Assist the Senior Director of Finance with any reporting that is needed and special projects.
