Accountant

Valor PayTech is a rapidly-growing payments technology company, partnering with merchants and reseller partners to provide end-to-end, processor-agnostic omnichannel commerce solutions. We are seeking an Accountant with Payments Industry experience that will maintain, prepare, and reconcile accounts and other financial documents. This position will require you to have a broad understanding of basic accounting principles and excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Analyze financial statements and prepare balance sheets.
• Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries.
• Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices.
• Comply with GAAP for financial statements.
• Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation.
• Expense reporting and management.
• Complete end of month close procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Complete other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• 1+ year experience within Payments, Merchant Processing or POS Hardware Industry
• 3+ years' experience as a Accountant or similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• Strong Excel skills, proficiency in Quickbooks or comparable accounting software
• Firm grasp of basic and intermediate accounting principles
• Comfortable handling and storing confidential financial information
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This position offers a salary within the range of USD $65,000-85,000 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package including:
