The Role

As an ideal candidate, you can take complete ownership of the bookkeeping cycle for our veterinary clients. You know and appreciate QuickBooks Online, and see the value in improving the Finance function through the adoption of new technology. Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for VetBooks clients
• Prepare and maintain related government remittances/filings
• Review and publish timely monthly financial statements to support month-end close and quarterly reviews
• Conduct quarterly financial reporting meetings with clients
• Maintain, monitor and reconcile GL accounts including but not limited to cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable and accrued liabilities
• Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with supervisor and/or client to develop resolutions
• Monitor work in progress
• Work collaboratively, develop and maintain relationships with clients and team members
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is considered an asset
• 3 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience
• QBO experience is a requirement; Pro Advisor Certification is a plus
• Comfortable working with a full technology stack including Slack, Google Drive, CRM and Quickbooks-adjacent software
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes
• Proven ability to work with multiple clients and customers
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
