Senior Bookkeeper & Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced client-facing Senior Bookkeeper & Bookkeeping Project Manager to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks, as well as managing a small team and a variety of accounting projects. This is a key role within our organization, and we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of financial concepts.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

- Prepare journal entries and post them to the general ledger

- Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

- Assist with tax preparation and filing

- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or issues

- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support as needed

- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with GAAP

- Hire and manage a small bookkeeping team and the projects within

- Work closely with clients to manage their accounts via email, phone and Zoom meetings

Experience

- Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or similar role

- Proven experience managing a small team and accounting projects

- Proven experience working with clients, holding client meetings and exceeding client needs and expectations

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Proficient in using QBO, Xero and Google Workspace

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities

- Experience with bank reconciliation processes

- Familiarity with account analysis techniques

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
