Senior Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper in the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Washington, D.C. (HKETO)

(Salary: Starting salary ranging from US$45,888 to $64,176 per annum* depending on relevant experience)
Entry Requirements
- (a) Minimum of three* years of relevant working experience, focusing on general office duties with a strong emphasis on accounting work and bookkeeping;
- (b) A bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
- (c) Fluency in spoken/written English;
- (d) Must be proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel ;
- (e) Fluency in spoken/written Chinese is an advantage;
- (f) Work experience in public or governmental organization is an advantage; and
- (g) Eligible to take up employment in the U.S.
*The selected candidate with more than three years of relevant experience may be appointed at a higher salary.
Job Description
This is a Monday to Friday full time (8:45am to 5:45pm) in office position. Reporting to the Office Manager, the Senior Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper will be responsible to:
- (a) Assist in the preparation of office budget and fund allocation;
- (b) Assist in monthly and yearly reconciliation, process payment, account receivable and reimbursement;
- (c) Prepare, verify and process payrolls;
- (d) Liaise with financial institutions on behalf of the office;
- (e) Assist in any ad hoc duties involving accounting and bookkeeping as requested.
Term of Appointment
Two and a half years’ contract term, starting April 2024. Upon completion of the contract term, the employee may be eligible for a new contract, based on an assessment of overall performance over the first contract term.
