DeJoy & Co., a premier regional public accounting firm, has an immediate opening for full Charge Bookkeeper to join our Accounting Services department.

The Senior Advisor that we seek to hire will be an experienced accounting professional ready to step into an integral role on our Outsourced Accounting Services team. This team provides customized finance support – including bookkeeping and assistant controller-level duties – for clients in various industries. This position will report to the Partner and Managers of the Outsourced Accounting Services team.

The experienced professional we hire must be able to handle:

• Full-charge bookkeeping responsibilities to include but not limited to,
• Process accounts payable and receivable
• Posting and reconciling payroll
• Classification, reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts including calculating estimated depreciation/amortizations, calculating and processing sales tax filings and ensuring equity transactions are recorded properly
• Processing and reconciling payroll
• Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports, including variance to budget analyses
• IRC sections and regulation (instead) Conduct and document research to support accounting decisions, including revenue recognition
• Prior experience required supervising and reviewing other team member's work
• Other special projects, as assigned such as cash projections and 1099 reporting

The ideal applicant will be deadline-driven and proactive, with solid communication and multitasking skills. Qualifications preferred include 5 or more years of relevant experience, along with:

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting preferred; Associate’s Degree considered
• Experience in an internal accounting department in a senior role or assistant controller role
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting technology
• Strong Excel and Word skills
• Certification in QuickBooks, or willingness to become certified

Pay: $58,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
