We are a construction and property management company that has been based in the Seattle area since 1990. We focus on multi-family housing for emerging middle-class tenants; looked at another way, our offering enables blue-collar and similarly employed people to live in attractive, urban environments with proximity to transportation and amenities. We are rapidly growing, changing and improving every aspect of our business. We have an immediate need for a Full Charge Bookkeeper, preferably with experience in the real estate construction and/or property management industries.
We have an immediate need for a Bookkeeper.
We manage about 1,000 units across multiple properties, have four properties under construction (about 80 to 135 units each), and seven in the permitting process (150-300+ units each). We have an aggressive but achievable goal of 25,000 units by 2030 as the first installment in the larger vision. We want to make the model scalable to hundreds of thousands and then millions of units over time.

We are vertically integrated and perform most of our own design, construction, and property management and are working to harmonize these activities via virtual design, building information management, and technologies for our own prefab manufacturing.

As a bookkeeper, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the full cycle of accounting activities.
- Managing external data processing team.
- Processing/monitoring accounts payable processes.
- Tenant ledger reconciliations.
- Maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Preparing financial statements.
- Quarterly labor filings.
- Recording complex transactions.
- Processing time sheets and payroll.
- Controlling payroll.
- Preparing payroll, sales and use, and local tax filings.
- High-volume bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Collecting information for auditing purposes.
- Journal entries.
- Month-end close.
- Cash flow tracking.
- Be a team player.

Experience:
- Bookkeeping: 5+ years (Required).
- Property Management Accounting (Preferred).
- Office Management (Preferred).
