We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our medical office team. The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk area.
```Responsibilities:```
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Schedule patient appointments using dental scheduling software (Eaglesoft or Dentrix)
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collect patient information and update patient profiles as necessary
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Manage the waiting area and ensure cleanliness and comfort for patients
- Coordinate with dental hygienists and dentists to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle any administrative tasks assigned by the office manager
```Skills:```
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency in dental office software such as ECW.
- Knowledge of medical records management and HIPAA regulations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines
