Job Summary: The Receptionist is responsible for the front desk duties of our office and is the first point of contact for new and existing patients. The Receptionist will greet, check in, and greet patients, take payments, and provide information. The Receptionist will also assist in answering phones, scheduling appointments, and other administrative duties. This position requires a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Essential Functions: The essential functions are based on the job description below. Other duties may be assigned.
·Greet patients and provide them with a positive experience. This includes checking them in, answering questions about our practice, scheduling appointments with no charge for them to be seen by a provider or provider assistant, and providing information about our practice as well as other patient services.
·Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner. Ensure all patients are scheduled for an efficient visit within 24 hours of arrival. Provide timely reminders to patients of upcoming appointments.
·Greet new patients in a friendly manner and schedule their initial visit. Assist other members of the office staff with patient scheduling as needed.
·Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as faxing, copying documents, scanning documents into patient records. Filing in patient records as needed. Scanning documents into patient records using EMR system.
·Perform other office duties such as filing, copying documents, faxing, faxing assistance, ordering supplies when needed. Assist other members of the office staff with patient scheduling as needed.
·Other duties as assigned by management.
Recommended:
- Some receptionist/front desk experience
- Basic math skills
- Phone etiquette
- Familiarity with Google Drive/Docs/Sheets
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
