As a Front Office/Back office assistant, you will need to understand and perform basic tasks of both roles and be flexible to assist in either role depending on the needs of the particular day

Front Desk Duties
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Process incoming referrals and appointment requests
- Manage patient records and update information as necessary
- Verify insurance coverage and process payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Front Desk area
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any concerns or questions

Medical Assistant Duties
- Assist with rooming patients and collecting a brief medical history
- Assist physician by preparing instruments for minor in office procedures
- Understand sterilization technique, and utilize autoclave to prepare instruments
- Assist with removing bandages from surgical wounds
- Ensure proper delivery and receipt of durable medical equipment
- Ensure exam rooms are properly cleaned and stocked between each exam
- Take xrays in office at the discretion of the attending physician

Skills
- Proficiency in using phone systems and computerized scheduling software
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Nurturing personality and ability to assist patients during the treatment processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 38 per week
