The main responsibilities of the receptionist are to greet customers in a courteous and friendly manner, answer incoming calls and direct callers to appropriate personnel.

Job Duties

Essential duties and responsibilities of the receptionist include, but are not limited, the following:

• Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel
• Retrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate personnel
• Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department
• Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
• Monitor visitor access
• Assist with administrative duties

• Have a professional demeanor and a friendly and welcoming approach
• High standards of dress and presentation
• Ability to remain calm in a very demanding environment
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a pleasant telephone manner
• Good team working skills

Job Requirements

• Previous customer service experience
• Computer experience is a plus, including ability to use MicroSoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
