Front Desk Receptionist

Receptionist needed for a well-established optometry office in Carson City. Must be available to work Monday - Friday as well as Saturdays (half a day).

Pay is dependent on experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the office
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Direct customer service experience is required. Prior work experience as a receptionist, front office representative or similar is greatly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Positive and friendly customer service attitude
• Employer conducts a background check and drug test.

This position is on-site only. No remote work is available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
