Ashburn Orthodontics is looking for an energetic, positive, and hard-working Front Desk Receptionist with a passion for customer service and making people smile. You’ll be working alongside our team of fun-loving, supportive and caring individuals. The practice takes pride in providing excellent orthodontic care to patients of all ages, voted Best of Loudoun for many years.
Summary of essential job functions
- Create a welcoming environment for patients and their guests
- Manage inbound and outbound phone calls, emails and text messages in a timely manner
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments
- Identify patients’ needs by clarifying information and asking probing questions to ensure every issue is identified and an appropriate solution or alternative is provided
- Manage practice’s social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, and Google) and engage with ‘followers’ in a timely manner
- Coordinate, publicize, and follow through on patient contests and rewards
- Obtain and document appropriate information from patients
- Clean, organize, and maintain the lobby and Front Desk area
- Support the patient check-in and check-out process
- Take and document payments from patients
- Assist with attracting new patients to the practice and maximizing referrals
- Maintain good relationships with referring dentists and other professionals in the community
- Send patient records for consultation with oral surgeon or other specialists. Arrange appointments with any specialists needed
- Oversee the transfer of records for patients transferring to/from other offices
- Be an active participant in staff meetings
- Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA Guidelines
- Manages the insurance claims process, including filing and following up on any insurances with outstanding balances
- Run and review monthly collection reports; A/R report for patients, A/R report for insurance
- Performs other duties as assigned

The hours are Tuesday 9am-6pm, Wednesday 7:30am-3pm, Thursday 10:15am-7pm, Friday 8:45am-2pm. The first Saturday of the month 8:30am-2pm.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 32 per week
