SpiriTrust Lutheran is now hiring a Full Time Day Front Desk Phone Attendant.
Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent
Skill(s): Ability to multitask and manage many calls at once; proficient reading, writing and grammatical skills; proficient in interpersonal relations and communication skills, including pleasant telephone manner and speaking voice; ability to work independently and to establish and maintain effective working relationships; working knowledge of computer operations and ability to learn specialized industry applications.
Experience: A minimum of six (6) months of experience in a call center like atmosphere.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for answering the phones and directing the calls to the appropriate person, performing receptionist duties and providing administrative support; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures and regulatory requirements; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.
Essential Duties
- Operates telephone switchboard for multiple offices
- Answers incoming calls and forwards to appropriate person.
- Takes messages as necessary.
- Communicates with after-hours answering service.
- Coordinates schedule for lunch and PTO coverage.
- Greets visitors and informs appropriate staff of their presence.
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Sorts mail and distributes to appropriate mailboxes.
- Makes arrangements for shipment pick-ups.
- Routes magazines to appropriate staff.
- Maintains and updates the postage meter.
- Generates end of month report for personal postage.
- Scans documents into EMR according to agency procedure.
