Front Desk Phone Attendant, Home Care & Hospice Franklin County

SpiriTrust Lutheran is now hiring a Full Time Day Front Desk Phone Attendant.

Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent

Skill(s): Ability to multitask and manage many calls at once; proficient reading, writing and grammatical skills; proficient in interpersonal relations and communication skills, including pleasant telephone manner and speaking voice; ability to work independently and to establish and maintain effective working relationships; working knowledge of computer operations and ability to learn specialized industry applications.

Experience: A minimum of six (6) months of experience in a call center like atmosphere.

General Responsibilities

Responsible for answering the phones and directing the calls to the appropriate person, performing receptionist duties and providing administrative support; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures and regulatory requirements; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.

Essential Duties

1. Operates telephone switchboard for multiple offices
2. Answers incoming calls and forwards to appropriate person.
3. Takes messages as necessary.
4. Communicates with after-hours answering service.
5. Coordinates schedule for lunch and PTO coverage.
6. Greets visitors and informs appropriate staff of their presence.
7. Processes incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
8. Sorts mail and distributes to appropriate mailboxes.
9. Makes arrangements for shipment pick-ups.
10. Routes magazines to appropriate staff.
11. Maintains and updates the postage meter.
12. Generates end of month report for personal postage.
13. Scans documents into EMR according to agency procedure.
