Our busy, exclusively pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus practice is currently seeking a Patient Service Coordinator to support providers in our Denton location.
Family friendly environment with 7:30am- 4pm workday, M-F.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Register new patients and update existing patient information
- Verify insurance information and coordination of the patient’s visit
- Answer phones in a timely manner and maintain exceptional telephone etiquette at all times
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of scheduling system to facilitate optimal patient flow
- Transfer/routing calls properly
- Efficient and accurate data entry into computer
- Maintain proper personal conduct and confidentiality of patient, staff and physician information
- Assist training new staff on schedule, phone and office flow protocols
- Tend to administrative needs the practice generates including patient notifications and medical records processing
- Sit for long periods of time
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Assume duties of other office personnel when an absence occurs
- Possess good organization and strong communication skills and have an ability to interact with a wide variety of persons
- Have exceptional multi-tasking abilities and time-management skills
- Be computer literate with a proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Be a proficient typist and strive to keep work free from mistakes
- Any other duties relating to the business operation of the medical practice that may be assigned by a physician or supervisor
Pediatric Eye Specialists offers a generous benefit and compensation package, which currently includes majority payment of major medical insurance premiums, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off (PTO), and seven paid holidays. All potential employees must pass an extensive background screening.
