Anne Arundel Gastroenterology Associates, a Covenant Physician Partner, located in Annapolis, Maryland is looking for a Fulltime Medical Receptionist to join our talented and growing team.

Please note the pay range for this position is $18-$20hr.

Anne Arundel Gastroenterology Associates (AAGA) is one of the top surgical centers in the country. This role entails working with compassionate, highly skilled providers and their professional support staff to provide efficient, patient-focused care in a private and comfortable setting.

The Bestgate Road office is located near excellent shopping and dining options and just a few miles from the Naval Academy. The office is easily accessible from the 50 and with much to do and see nearby!

Summary

The Front Desk Associate provides clerical, administrative and billing support on a daily basis from their designated location under the supervision of the Center Operations Manager. The employee will adhere to and comply with the Covenant Code of Conduct, Human Resource Policies and Procedures, Operational Policy and Procedure Manual, HIPAA Compliance, Patient Bill of Rights and Corporate Compliance Plan.

Essential Duties:

• Welcome and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Check in patients through the Patient Management software.
• Collect all copays/self-pay fees and patient balances due per the account or billing paperwork.
• Provide receipts to patients for all payments rendered.
• Obtain appropriate paperwork from patient including referrals, identification and insurance cards.
• Update new and existing patient registration forms, HIPAA forms, patient history, physical forms and waivers.

About the Candidate

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in using basic office equipment such as multiline phone systems and printers.
• Excellent computer / typing skills and the ability to navigate multiple screens and programs simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a medical office.
