Privately owned Physical Therapy clinic looking to fill the dual role of front office assistant. Monday-Friday afternoon schedule for approximately 20 hrs. per week. This position shares the position with another assistant who works the morning shift.
The front office assistant is the first point of contact for patients as they arrive for their appointments. Charlotte One on One Physical Therapy is looking for a motivated, positive, and customer service oriented individual to assist in front office tasks while maintaining the flow of the clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients
- Collect, enter, verify patient and insurance information in the electronic medical records system
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls
- Check patients in/out for their appointments
- Schedule/Reschedule/Cancel patient appointments
- Collect copays, coinsurances, and balances
- Verify and maintain insurance benefits

- Represent the company as the first point of contact a patient has with a member of our team, and therefore must demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, through multitasking while being engaging and receptive to patient questions and needs.
- Possess effective and respectful communication skills while engaging with staff, patients, doctors’ offices, and insurance representatives, whether in person, on the phone, or via email.
- Collect, organize, and input data into the EMR system, including data that pertains to Protected Health Information (PHI), which must be handled in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA).
- Able to learn health insurance processes, discussing with patients as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
