SalaryBusy Cardiology practice looking for a Medical Assistant/LVN. Prior medical office experience and/or completion of Medical Assistant training program required. Cross-training in front office and Back Office tasks a plus. Must have ability to work in a fast paced environment with a high level of multitasking.
Primary job duties will include assisting physician in patient care (taking vitals, performing EKGs, performing PT/INR testing), ensuring all pertinent patient health information is updated and recorded in the EMR before physician begins exam, scheduling hospital procedures, securing insurance authorizations, and processing prescription refills. Additional job duties include answering telephones, scanning and indexing documents, scheduling appointments, and other assorted clerical tasks.
The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Position will float between our Santa Barbara, Oxnard, and Ventura offices on a set schedule, with occasional changes as needs require. Reliable transportation required.
Position is full time.
Pay dependent on experience.
