Job Description:
- Welcoming and greeting all patients
- Answering phones, filing, assisting with patient check-in, paperwork
- Scheduling of patients
- Use of EMR
- Prepare Patients for Medical Providers
- Measure and record vital signs, electrocardiograms, visual tests, glucose tests, hemoglobin tests among others
- Assisting the Physician with exams and minor surgeries
- Venipuncture and collection of laboratory samples and prepare them for the courier.
- Maintain an environment conducive to the comfort and confidentiality of the patient environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successfully completed and graduated from a Medical Assistant Program
- Venipuncture Certification or equivalent
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Demonstration of proper phone etiquette
- Ability to Multi Task
- Willingness and Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a variety of situations
- Able to work both independently and as a Member of our Team.
- Two years experience in a similar position.
