This position would begin in April 2024. The hours are Monday Friday, 35 hours per week. This position is benefits eligible.
Wage rate is $25.11-31.38 per hour depending on experience.The Food Service Administrative Assistant works under the direction of the Director of Food Services.Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender background and experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.Duties & Responsibilities include: Update timesheets & Bi-weekly payroll entry and processingSubmit payroll and AP batches to School CommitteeSubmit wire transfer and tax forms to Town Manager, Town Accountant, & Food Service DirectorMaintain employee personnel files Maintain employee lists, training logs, and time off accruals/requestsUpdate phone list, new hire list, and vendor contact sheetDaily sub calling to cover absencesProcess departmental paymentsCompleting Accounts Payable invoices and entering for paymentBalance account ledger monthlyLog catering invoicesPick up mail dailyRecruitment and onboarding for new hires including conducting interviews, submitting paperwork, and entering details into various databasesCheck bid prices Run Direct Certification Renew Board of Health CertificatesCreate Excel spreadsheets and Word documents as neededAll other duties as assigned by the Food Service DirectorPreferred: Team playerCustomer service skillsExhibits the core values of Shrewsbury Public SchoolsWorks flexibly in a changing environment Application Process: Please apply via www.schoolspring.comInterested internal applicants, please contact Beth Nichols, Food Service Director at bnichols@shrewsbury.k12.ma.us The Shrewsbury Public Schools is an affirmative action employer, ensuring that its programs and facilities are accessible to the public.
