Ma·dé is looking for inspired runners and/or barback who are looking to broaden their hospitality horizons! Ma·dé is Chef Cedric Vongerichten and Ochi Latjuba’s ‘second-born’ project which opened in April this year. After the success of the Indonesian-French concept, Wayan, the couple turned their attentions to produce an intimate restaurant focused on seasonality, freshness, with a primary emphasis on seafood and vegetables. All this with a dining room and decor inspired by the beaches of Bali.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking to hire a small group of highly effective individuals who are quick learners and that can work in a high volume enviroment, . Candidate must be engaged, and passionate about food and beverage. The position requires for the candidates to think creatively and be willing to absorb the information provided. We will be providing a unique experience and having the ability to go between both positions is key to providing the service style that we are trying to achieve.

Job Description for a runner/barback position:
• Full and Part time position
• Previous restaurant experience required (1+ Manhattan experience preferred)
• Flexible availability on nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be knowledgeable about the food and beverage menus along with the items’ preparations, ingredients, and sourcing.
• Will be required to prepare juice, bar syrups, and garnishes.
• Will be required to stock and organize wine and liquor bottles.
• Will occasionally be asked to prepare cocktails.
• Candidate must be willing to work together with their Front of House and Back of House teammates.
• Employee must follow the instruction of the bartenders as long as it fits within their job description
• Must be willing to assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant
• Position will require the employee to climb up and down stairs multiple times throughout a shift
• Position will require the employee to carry items weighing 30lbs-50lbs
