Description/Job Summary:
- Develop program annual budgets, monthly analysis, and forecasts of program revenues and expenses. Analyze trends, risks and opportunities; help in creating efficient operational models and implementing solutions and opportunities for cost reduction and increased profitability.
- Review General Ledger to ensure compliance with GAAP standards, funder requirements and RHD policy; submit Journal Entries and Reclasses as needed.
- Develop financial modeling, financial statement analysis, reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
- Track monthly expenses against budgets, identify and analyze trends, alert team about potential issues, and provide recommendations for solutions.
- Provide training, education, and mentoring on relevant financial matters to program staff.
- Prepare and submit program funded invoices and cost reports, ensuring compliance with all funder and RHD guidelines.
- Review program operational and accounting activities such as credit card coding, remote banking, fixed assets, etc. Correct and complete accounting entries as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, financial reports for year-end corporate and contract compliance audits, including retrieving supporting documents and back-up information as requested and analyzing and reporting of key performance indicators.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, intermediate knowledge of Word recommended.
- Working knowledge and application of GAAP.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; business degree preferred.
