- RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is a key team member of the US Strategic Metals finance and accounting team and will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, corporate accounting, loan compliance, and supporting the annual audit process. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Controller, this role offers a unique opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of topics and challenges associated with the rapid growth of the company and maturation of the finance function. The ideal candidate will be excited about the company's mission and the prospect of helping to build a finance function capable of supporting the company's future.
- Prepare external financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary financial data and ensure timely completion of reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of Financial Reporting processes.
- Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and reporting standards and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during financial audits.
- Research, propose, and memorialize approaches for complex accounting areas and Financial Reporting matters.
- Assist with month end close and recording of complex transactions.
- Continuously review and streamline Financial Reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; master's preferred.
- CPA required.
- 3+ years' Big 4 audit and/or reporting experience.
- High degree of business curiosity; quick learner and self-starter.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
- Strong desire to grow professionally.
