This is a high visibility role working closely with our Chief Marketing Officer and Marketing leadership. Role includes responsibilities for managing marketing financial planning, analysis and management reporting cycle for monthly close, monthly forecast, annual budget process, and understand the ROI of various Marketing channels to guide investment decisions.
This is a contract role for about 4-6 months with the possibility of being hired on as a permanent employee.
You'll Get To::
- Business Partner with Marketing leadership, operational, and GTM finance for resource and headcount planning, financial modeling, analysis, and reporting
- Prepare reports for management which will include financials, pipeline, key metrics, leading indicators and business performance analysis
- Own the monthly forecast updates, close, quarterly business reviews, and other critical inspection and decision mechanisms including presentation to executive management
- Analyze, forecast, and report on business activity, headcount planning, marketing spend, and incentive compensation
- Support for reporting on various metrics and KPI within Marketing, Sales, and Customer organization
- Perform ROI analysis & tracking on marketing program spend
- Identify areas of financial risks and opportunities
- Support enhancements to planning processes and systems
- Become a subject matter expert with our tools including but not limited to Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, and Excel.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis, modeling, and projects
What You'll Bring::
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience as Financial Analyst, Sales Analyst, Business Analyst or other similar roles
- Proven analytical capabilities and business acumen with the ability to simplify and distill complex business information in a consumable way
- Must be comfortable working in a high pace environment, be able to multi-task, and have a hands-on attitude
- Strong business partnership skills and ability to communicate financials with non-finance personnel
- Strong knowledge of financial planning and forecasting, financial modeling, financial accounting concepts and business process best practices
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven stakeholder management and influencing skills; comfortable collaborating with teams across the organization
- Team player with positive and can-do attitude
- Customer service / success orientation and a desire to help others succeed
- Ability to quickly gain proficiency in new financial systems
- SaaS or Subscription business model experience
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau, and other SaaS-based tools (preferred)
- Candidate must be comfortable working in Pacific time zone
