As we continue to innovate, we are seeking an experienced Strategic Finance Lead to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting key finance workstreams and driving successful outcomes.
About The Role
As Strategic Finance Lead, you will partner cross-functionally and play a key role in delivering compelling strategic recommendations to the business that will drive improved performance, higher returns, and optimal resource allocation. You will help manage the company’s annual business planning, develop & monitor company-wide metrics & KPIs, and translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights to drive stronger business performance and profitability, ultimately helping to drive key-decision making across the organization. We are looking for an individual with strong financial modeling, analytical, and time management skills, coupled with a sense of urgency to thrive in our fast-paced start-up environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain robust financial forecasting models to ensure that Ernest is able to accurately predict and assess performance; help manage the company's financial planning process.
- Create and maintain financial models to support ROI based decision-making and inform key stakeholders across the organization of the financial implications of key business decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of key stakeholder presentations including Board of Director presentations, investor communications, and other financial communications.
- Share valuable insights on operational and financial metrics as part of monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Evaluate new business opportunities and key strategic initiatives by quantifying forward-looking financial impact.
- Manage various ad hoc financial analysis for the Finance team.
- Support the Accounting team on monthly financial close preparation in the analysis of key P&L line items.
What You'll Need
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, FP&A, Business Operations in dynamic, fast paced companies.
- Strong financial modeling, problem solving, and analytical skills; able to move quickly with little structure or guidance.
- Proven ability to translate large amounts of data and information into strategic and actionable insights, recommendations, and presentations.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial analysis into actionable intelligence.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite.
