SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all branch locations while providing leadership to the Facilities staff. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP) and collaborates with management on all facility needs. This position performs many maintenance, safety and management tasks that promote a clean and safe working environment including performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.

• Calculates and compares costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money.
• Orders and delivers supplies to all branch locations, as necessary.
• Establishes guidelines for maintenance, supplies, and facility related expenditures.
• Plans for future development in line with strategic business objectives.
• Manages and leads change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities.
• Manages cleaning and maintenance of all branch locations, ensuring compliance with cleaning standards and coordination with Branch Managers.
• Ensures adherence to health and safety protocols as per regulatory requirements of all buildings and branches.
• Spends approximately 25% of working hours commuting to branches in southeast Florida.
• Assembles necessary documentation to establish and facilitate collaborations with vendors and contractors.
• Manages projects, supervises and coordinates work of contractors.
• Plans best allocation and utilization of space and resources for both current and/or future branches.
• Re-organizes current premises and follows up on any deficiencies.
• Responds appropriately to emergencies and/or urgent matters as they arise.
• Delegates most cleaning and maintenance tasks to the Facilities staff, vendors and contractors.
• Investigates availability and suitability of options for new premises.
• Directs and plans essential central services such as maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling.
• Participates in the credit union’s short- and long-term strategic planning session as it relates to Facilities.
• Provides well-defined plans including procedures, documentation, deadlines, and accountability.
• Recommends changes to policies and procedures of the Facilities area, as necessary.
• Coaches and directs staff to ensure compliance with the department goals, objectives of the credit union, external regulations, and budgetary requirements.
• Ensures that all daily, monthly, quarterly and year end jobs are completed according to the established procedures, including all year end reports, and keeps the EVP informed of operational issues or concerns.
• Ensures that the credit union’s professional reputation is maintained throughout all business transactions with members.
• Attains and maintains professional and technical knowledge including knowledge of the regulatory guidelines regarding BSA/OFAC/AML/CTR laws, rules and regulations and maintains an acceptable level of knowledge, including all updates and changes of laws, rules and regulations.
