Description:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; OR
Three years of Facilities or Project Management experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple small to mid-sized healthcare projects and reestablish priorities as necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Knowledge of healthcare design and construction techniques.
- Familiar with construction drawing software such as AutoCAD and Adobe.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and business documents (i.e., floor plans, panel schedules, quotes, scopes of service, contracts, etc.)
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Ability to make presentations, develop reports, and prepare schedules for management and/or vendors
- Ability to establish and execute projects within budget and in a timely manner while identifying opportunities for quality and/or process improvement.
- Ability to make appropriate independent judgments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work and manage multi-faceted teams providing direction and assigning accountability to a diverse group.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Interior Design, or related healthcare field.
- Five years of Facilities or Project Management experience.
- Experience with Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) state agency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar project management program.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through Project Management Institute.
- Construction trade license (State or County) for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.
Responsibilities:
The Project Manager (PM) works under the guidance of the department leader on all assigned projects related to AdventHealth Orlando Campus and is responsible for the design and monitoring of multiple small to mid-size facility projects, with or without consultants, as assigned. Projects derive from the Office of Design and Construction, Engineering and/or as directed by senior management. Once assigned, the PM works with the Safety Department to ensure regulatory compliance on safety & infection control standards.
Investigates overall feasibility, prepares and monitors budget, designs project workflow, documents safety parameters, coordinates with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to obtain best value quotes for assigned projects. Regularly checks jobsite for progress/compliance and obtains invoices for prompt and accurate processing. In addition, participates in project meetings, collaborates with employees of AdventHealth and other support service entities to expedite and distribute project information
