Job Summary
Flagship is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager for a Class A Property Management client, overseeing roughly 30 locations and staff. The Senior Facilities Manager is the manager for assigned site(s) and provides leadership and direction to a team of skilled staff in delivering facilities management services in a professional environment. This position is responsible for achieving the expected level of service delivery as described in the Master Service Agreement and/or the applicable Service Level Agreements. Performance is measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), client feedback, and financial targets.
Job Description
Essential Functions
Responsible for overall service and operational excellence for larger client sites or in some cases multiple facilities within a client or multiple clients
Lead and contribute to the development of platform wide processes, procedures, SOPs, etc.
Direct continuous auditing and redevelopment of platform wide processes, procedures, SOPs, etc.
Work in cooperation with the client and Flagship leadership to develop and execute overall vision of the client facilities team.
Ensure all Client and Flagship safety procedures are followed. Responsible for compliance of all training programs.
Oversee the operational aspects of the property in a manner which protects, maintains, and improves the value of the client's assets.
Inspect areas routinely to guarantee that building services are at the highest level of quality standards.
Responsible for delivery of preventive maintenance programs, while utilizing a CMMS platform for asset management and work tickets.
Drive continuous improvement in all services provided to the client.
Manage third-party contractors / vendors engaged in operating and maintaining properties.
Work with Flagship Sourcing to bid and contract for scheduled and operational maintenance and services that are not self-performed.
Support associated facility related client-projects.
Improve operational practices by leveraging Flagship tools, processes, best practices to ensure service delivery is highly efficient and effective.
Maintain Sites using Service Level Agreements and measured by KPIs.
Assist in site incident investigation, utilize structure problem solving to identify root cause of failures.
Client Management
Develop and maintain positive relationship with all Client stakeholders
Primary interface with client representatives.
Ensures delivery of committed services and overall satisfaction with Flagship performance.
Demonstrate leadership, responsiveness, and creativity in finding solutions client problems
Ensure best practices are implemented to meet client expectations
Identify opportunities to improve quality, customer service and cost performance, and execute approved plans.
Assist in the creation of reports and presentations for client and for Flagship senior management.
Act as a Flagship ambassador, adopting and maintaining the firm’s core values of Safety, Inclusion, Customer Focused, and Integrity
Team Management
Establish and maintain a safety-first culture by promoting and driving safe work practices, timely training, and compliance with leading indicators (i.e. Safety Observations).
Foster a collaborative teamwork environment. Promote energy and enthusiasm.
Hold the team accountable through performance review process. Establish SMART goals, measure performance, and swiftly address any performance issues with support from Flagship HR.
Promote a culture of diversity and inclusivity for all team members.
Financial Management
Responsible for the operating budgets for sites, meeting targets as defined in KPIs; and, provide written variance analysis and forecast to Flagship management
When applicable meet specific cost savings targets to contribute to the account achieving significant savings throughout the contract term of outsourced operations.
Work with strategic sourcing professionals to identify cost savings opportunities and support their contracting efforts.
Knowledge and Skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings and technical manuals
Strong computer skills in Word, Outlook, Access or other facility management systems I.e. CMMS
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety roles, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. PC literacy is required.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Excellent time-management and general organization skills.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Facility management, or general business management
10+ years’ experience in the Facilities Services
5+ years’ experience facilities management with an emphasis on client relationship management
Previous experience managing vendors, subcontractors, and large maintenance technician and janitorial teams.
Work Environment
Small-to-large office environment
Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks
Fast paced work environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, shop environments and manufacturing environments
Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
