Facilities Manager

Taconic, a global leader in the manufacturing of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts and tapes is seeking a Facilities Manager for our corporate office in Petersburgh, NY to lead facility maintenance programs, including general housekeeping and grounds.

· Oversee the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

· Ensure equipment is maintained to achieve production and growth goals.

· Coordinate and manage facility improvement projects.

· Manage and supervise a team of industrial maintenance technicians.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

· Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.

· Collaborate with vendors and contractors for facility repairs and maintenance.

· Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues related to industrial equipment.

· Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline or suitable manufacturing-related experience, with training in management skills and problem-solving techniques preferred. A B.S. candidate should have 5-15 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably with 3-5 years of management experience in a maintenance or facilities role. Candidates should have good physical assessment skills to troubleshoot and resolve production and facilities equipment problems. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize and adapt, based on changing work conditions and requirements. It is also important for the individual to have good judgment in people interactions in order to assess and implement effective methods and programs to motivate employees so that they practice good customer service and maintain a working environment that is both safe and respectful to coworkers. PC literate with experience with MS Office preferred. Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. Should have the ability to manage and implement change in the organization. Should demonstrate initiative and be self-motivated. Salary range: $95,000 – $125,000 per year.
