Medical Assistant
Dr. Kelly Malinoski, DPM is a Naples, FL-based podiatry practice offering advanced care for sports injuries, pediatric podiatry, surgical treatments and other foot/ankle services. We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be professional, have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently. Position is part-time with flexibility for the hours and days of the week as/when needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will provide support to all staff and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation of exam rooms, recording and updating medical histories, collecting intake information, scheduling patient appointments, restocking supplies in examination rooms, changing bandages, removing stitches, and x-rays, etc.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Assist during examinations and procedures as/when needed
- X-rays
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Stock exam rooms
- Maintain medical supplies
- Schedule appointments
Requirements
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures helpful but not required
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Reliability and Flexibility a must
- Experience not required, willing to train the right candidate
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
