ABOUT PAFA
Founded in 1805, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) is America's first school and museum of fine arts. Located in center city Philadelphia, PAFA is intimate in scale with a strong sense of community. PAFA’s undergraduate degree offerings include a BFA in Studio Art and a coordinated BFA with the University of Pennsylvania. Graduate programs include an MFA and Low-Residency MFA degree, and a Post-Baccalaureate certificate. PAFA’s museum has an outstanding collection of American art, and the museum actively collects and exhibits contemporary art, including work in new media. Additionally, PAFA is home to the Brodsky Center, a print and papermaking center focused on the creation of innovative editions by contemporary artists.

POSITION: Facilities Coordinator
The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Facilities Coordinator. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the facility. They coordinate maintenance and repairs, oversee cleaning and janitorial services, and manage all documentation including contracts, budgets and schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Senior Director of Safety, Security and Facility Services to ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract requirements.
- Conduct daily site inspection and follow up corrective action accordingly.
- Coordinate Health and Safety monthly inspections.
- Coordination with outside contractors for the service and repairs of equipment.
- Create work orders and assign work orders to the facilities staff.
- Ensure city, state and federal mandated inspections are complete.
- Maintain facilities inventory list and reorder as required.
- Manage all documentation including contracts, budgets and schedules.
- Monitor PM service agreements and schedule inspections as required.
- Installation, repair and relocation of building fixtures, furnishings, and equipment essential to the operations and success of the institution.
- Provides general grounds maintenance including, but not limited to, snow removal and the repair and maintenance of lights and other grounds features as needed.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
