The QC Receiving Inspector is responsible for thoroughly inspecting and testing unit cooler heaters, compressors, pumps, pressure vessels, raw materials, and any other equipment or material identified as needed to be inspected by QC management.

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Read and understand the criteria necessary to perform receiving inspections.
- Understand and properly use equipment necessary to perform receiving inspections including micrometers, multi-meters, megohmmeters, hipot machines, and any other tooling necessary to complete inspections.
- Participate in teams to improve policies, procedures, and training. (KATA and Continuous Improvement Initiatives.)
- Work with all departments to obtain the necessary information to perform inspections.
- Work with all departments on creating receiving inspection policies and procedures. This includes determining the criteria needed to perform inspections correctly.
- Attend work as outlined in Employee Handbook and/or specified by your manager.
- Complete other tasks as directed by the manager.
- Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies, and company procedures.
Education: A high school level of education is mandatory for this position in order to continue upward advancement in the company. The employee must be able to understand directions from supervisors and managers, as well as give out precise and accurate information to all departments.
Experience: at least 2 years in manufacturing
Skills: Ability to use Microsoft productivity software. Self-motivated. Effective oral and written communication skills. Mechanical & technical aptitude. Alertness & precision working with tools. Basic computer & math skills are required. Ability to communicate in a diplomatic and positive manner at all levels of understanding (entry-level to engineering).
Certificates, licenses or training: High School Diploma or better.
Interaction with othersAnswers to QC/QA Supervisor. In constant communication with other departments, primarily in the final assembly/RAE South areas and engineering. It is essential that the employee is able to work with all employees of the RAE team and shows a spirit of cooperation with others in the organization.
working environmentWork is performed in an industrial production area for a manufacturer of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. The employee is constantly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is high in some areas. Exposed to extreme temperatures in both winter and summer. Possible stress caused by the pressure of meeting deadlines and product quality standards. Seasonal variations in hours worked based on production demands.
