Manages and coordinates budgeting, scheduling, bidding, and construction requirements of construction projects including, but not limited to, relocations, renovations, and capital improvements projects, interior or exterior, at the FedEx Ground Pittsburgh General Headquarters (PGH). Serves as the subject matter expert in the area of space planning and design.
Essential FunctionsCoordinates department space planning, expansions, and relocations within the building. Gathers requirements and information from customers, vendors, contractors, and PGH management. Creates proposals with drawings/plans for moves, identifies project scope and develops cost estimates and budgets. Works with customers and management to review design decisions, changes to projects, equipment specifications and substitutions, and purchasing and accounting procedures. Selects, qualifies, and hires the vendors and contractors. Coordinates and schedules all internal resources and vendors including IT, furniture and construction contractors, and architect to complete the project as cost-effectively, efficiently and with minimal disturbance to customer. Creates reports for project schedules, monitors progress, and ensures compliance with building code and site standards. Identifies, evaluates and proposes alternative project solutions when original proposal is not acceptable due to cost, space limitations, and resources. Ensures projects are carried out to specification and code, warranties, lien waivers and insurance certifications are maintained in project file, and contractors receive payments. Performs facility condition assessments, monitors vacancies, and provides project recommendations based on assessment. Fulfills furniture requests and requirements through communications with suppliers and installers. NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum EducationBachelor's degree in Construction, Interior Design, Engineering, Architecture, or related area required. Associate's degree and four (4) additional years experience in construction or interior design or related area is accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree
Minimum ExperienceFive (5) years experience required in space planning, site/construction management, facility planning, project management or related area
Required Skills, Abilities and / or LicensureSoftware skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications Knowledge of AutoCAD, CadapultFM or equivalent software Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information Knowledge of Interior design, contract furniture, construction documentation, building code, blueprints, and specification and bid preparation.

Pay Range: $62,400 - $94,432
Salary information represents the full potential base pay range associated with this job. Actual starting pay would be determined commensurate with experience and relative to pay levels at the location. An employee may also be eligible for additional pay programs, such as geographic and/or incentive pay. These programs do not apply to all jobs or all locations.
