Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing sushi dishes. Your expertise in sushi preparation and presentation will contribute to the overall dining experience of our customers.
Duties:
- Prepare a variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
- Assist in menu planning and development of new sushi dishes
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for sushi ingredients as needed
- Train and mentor junior sushi chefs or apprentices
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills and rolling techniques
- Familiarity with various types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,200.00 - $4,000.00 per month
