Head Sushi Chef

Duties:

-Planning and designing menus for eating establishments

-Calculating costs and liaising with suppliers

-Directing sushi bar operations and managing sushi bar staff

-Overseeing the food preparation, cooking and cleaning processes

-Delegating tasks and resolving issues as they arise

-Ensuring compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations

-Liaising with the general manager to ensure operations run smoothly

- Ensuring all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standards
- Prepare sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sushi station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely service
- Assist with catering events as needed

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Head Sushi Chef
- Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and ingredients
- Ability to create visually appealing and delicious sushi dishes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle raw fish safely
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
