Archer Hotel at Domain NORTHSIDE is actively hiring for our next Executive Housekeeper!
Duties and Responsibilities
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing the housekeeping and laundry facilities of the hotel in a safe and cost-effective manner in order to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and protect the assets of the hotel. This position participates as a member of the Hotel Management Team and perform other duties as assigned. Specifically, this person is responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.
- Manage daily Housekeeping operations, including but not limited to maintaining the cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and meeting spaces.
- Ensure that rooms are clean, up to company standards and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards as required by scheduling, which varies according to hotel needs.
- Comply with LodgeWorks standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maintain professionalism consistent with hotel, brand and company expectations.
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring that they perform in accordance with established brand and property standards and consistent with LodgeWorks core values.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and safety.
- Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program (e.g., floor care, hard cleaning, mattress rotation, deep cleaning of guest rooms) and maintain a detailed checklist and log.
- Ensure consistency with departmental opening and closing procedures.
- Inspect all VIP rooms prior to arrival.
- Prepare schedules based upon occupancy, assign duties to workers and schedule shifts or notify vendor of weekly staffing needs.
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory of housekeeping and laundry supplies; coordinate all departmental inventories and ordering, including staff uniforms.
- Coordinate efforts with Front Office and Engineering to achieve maximum levels of guest satisfaction.
- Ensure guest privacy and security by correctly following LodgeWorks procedures.
- Monitor work orders and submit to Engineering according to hotel procedures; follow up on work orders to ensure completion.
- Abide by LodgeWorks SOPs regarding purchase orders, invoices, checkbooks and accounting.
- Manage vendor contracts and relationships.
- Monitor out-of-order, out-of-service, discrepant and show rooms.
- Monitor and act on special requests as needed (e.g., VIPs, special-need rooms).
- Conduct or monitor daily standup meetings with staff to assign daily assignments.
- Maintain budgeted operating expenses; compare with budget and revenue.
- Monitor and control weekly payroll in comparison with monthly budget, taking appropriate action to ensure the best overall results.
- Ensure that all staff report to work as scheduled; document any late or absent employees.
- Be aware and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the department.
- Provide feedback to staff on their performance; handle disciplinary problems and counsel employees according to hotel standards; conduct scheduled performance reviews per the hotel’s standards.
- Provide safe work habits; follow MSDS, OSHA and LodgeWorks standards; wear protective safety equipment and participate in safety committees as directed.
- Conduct monthly meetings as scheduled.
- Attend all management and departmental meetings.
- Assist in any other task or duties as requested by management.

- A plus: Practiced, with six months' related experience in hospitality or a service industry.
