Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Train and supervise housekeeping staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective cleaning services
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and order as needed
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility, including guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house areas
- Respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives
Requirements:
- Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and floor care
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, guests, and management
- Knowledge of custodial procedures and best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Proficient in using cleaning equipment and supplies
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time
