PART-TIME HANDYMAN/GROUNDSKEEPER
Compensation Range: $18 to $20 per hour
FLSA Status: Nonexempt (hourly)
Work Location: Duquesne Family Support Center, 1 Library Place, Duquesne, PA 15110-1155
Schedule: Flexible, On Call as Needed

The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh (ULGP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights of African Americans and other underserved in the Greater Pittsburgh area, seeks a Part-Time Handyman/Groundskeeper.

The Handyman/Groundskeeper will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our Duquesne facility, ensuring it is in excellent condition. This role requires a combination of handyman and painting skills and groundskeeping expertise to create and maintain a safe, clean and aesthetically pleasing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Facility Maintenance
• Groundskeeping
• Equipment Maintenance
• Safety Compliance
• Recordkeeping
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to address cross-functional maintenance needs
• Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance schedules and priorities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in maintenance, carpentry or a related field is a plus
• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician and/or groundskeeper
• Strong knowledge of various maintenance and repair techniques
• Familiarity with landscaping principles and practices
