Job Description
The Residences at Greer, a division of Medical Services of America, Inc., currently seeks an experienced Full Time Executive Directorfor our residents in Greer, SC.
Responsible for the day-to day operations of the Community, including staff oversight, marketing, building maintenance and resident services. Assures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and Community policies, and procedures. Responsible for ensuring the Community meets financial objectives.
- Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of supporting the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents.
- Conducts resident assessments on applicants, in conjunction with the Community nurse or human services professional, as needed, ensuring that all residents are appropriate for occupancy at the Community.
- Develops resident service plans, in conjunction with the nurse, that addresses the specific needs and preferences of each resident; ensures revisions are made on a regular basis and as significant changes occur.
- Coordinates the transfer of resident to more appropriate care settings, as needed either on a temporary or permanent basis. Oversees any necessary eviction proceedings.
- Ensures a clear definition of lines of responsibility, equitable workloads and adequate supervision with staff.
- Performs all marketing and public relations activities to ensure a favorable public image of the Community is maintained and occupancy projections are reached.
- Provides CEO and Board of Directors with routine reports and other requested information as needed.
- Is available on an on-call basis to provide consultation to staff as needed; arranges for appropriate coverage when unavailable.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective supervisory skills with ability to direct the work of others.
- Desire to work with the elderly in an environment that upholds their privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and individuality.
- Good communication skills and ability to relate to the public, residents, families, staff and other professionals appropriately.
- Associates Degree required.
- Three years of experience providing residential care to the elderly preferred.
