Summary
The University of Michigan Office of the President is searching for a dynamic candidate with demonstrated ability in providing administrative support with attention to detail and accuracy, problem solving skills, and with the ability to multitask in a high energy environment.
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to several members of the Office of the President, including partial support for the Chief of Staff to the President. You will provide scheduling and administrative support for an array of strategic priorities and projects that include hiring searches for senior leaders of the University, presidential advisory committees, selection processes for presidential awards, and more.
The successful applicant will have experience handling multiple calendars and supporting the administrative work of strategic and complex projects. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Operations and Initiatives and provides support to them and their team. They will also partner with the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff to help support the scheduling and travel of the Chief of Staff. The position allows for a flexible work schedule that includes both in-person and remote work, and some work on evenings and weekends may occasionally be required.

Responsibilities*
- Provide administrative support, including meeting scheduling and preparation of background materials and agendas.
- Assist in coordinating travel arrangements, itineraries, and materials for the Chief of Staff to the President, their team, and special guests and delegates.
- Assist with writing and preparing sensitive documents, letters, reports, and other materials for the President, including correspondence for the President's signature.
- Prepare P-Card and hosting documentation for reconciliation and process travel reimbursements and expense reports.
- Perform diversified and confidential administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience and knowledge of university policies and practices.
- Coordinate hosting and catering arrangements for meetings and special events.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
- Three or more years of experience performing administrative responsibilities. A bachelor's degree is desired, but candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will be equally considered.
