Job Summary:
The Events Director would oversee the Events Departments of Mercy Culture church. This role would steward the staff, interns, serve team, and SLS students that choose to be apart of the department. This is a high level leadership role that would empower, coach, and equip others to steward the resources of Mercy Culture Church well, while achieving the execution of all church and housed vision events, conferences, and services. This role would look at the big picture, help establish the entire church calendar and help create and achieve long term goals to build an efficient, and productive department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Create/refine existing serve team onboarding process
- Meeting cadence
- Serve team requirements
- Department Org Chart
- Create/steward budgets alongside stakeholders for the following:
- Events Department
- All Mercy Culture Conference (Marked, Mercy Culture, Reformation)
- Church Calendar
- Create/refine yearly submission process
- Resolve room conflicts throughout the year
- Events requests process & Discovery meeting process
- Review & build upon existing process along side support department directors
- 8 Week look ahead meetings
- Steward a meeting where a representative from each department gather to discuss the next 8 weeks of events (around 30 people) 1 X per month
- SLS Track Structure
- Build out yearly 1st-3rd year curriculum/serve assignments along side the event coordinator for our SLS students to grow as spiritual leaders
- Event storage closet check in/out process
- Find future storage solutions
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or related field or minimum of 3-5 years' experience in event planning preferably in a church setting.

Membership Requirements:
To be employed by Mercy Culture Church you must be a member or be willing to become a member within 3 months of hire.
Leadership Standards:
All Mercy Culture Staff must agree with and abide by the Leadership Standards of Mercy Culture Church.
Hours:
This position is full-time, minimum of 40 hours a week and may include weekends and/or evenings depending on the event.
