Charisma Event Productions, a locally owned company specializing in A/V for conferences and events, is looking for a process-oriented, results-driven go-getter to provide Operations Manager Services on a contract basis. This contractor will work closely with the CEO, our production manager, our talented team of techs and our clients to provide incredible event productions throughout the Wasatch front and beyond.
The Scope of Services for the Operations Manager’s role includes managing operations of the business, coordinating team assignments, managing all aspects of the sales funnel and quote creation, working directly with clients, and implementing strategic improvements in all aspects of the business to propel the company’s growth. The contracted Operations Manager must be a natural leader who will provide services for all aspects of the business. The successful contractor must be exceptionally knowledgeable in both the A/V and business world in order to support the 30-40% growth year over year growth we are expecting.

Scope of Work: Operations Management Services
We are seeking a qualified contractor to provide operations management services for our audio visual company based in Utah. The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Assisting with and executing various activities related to business operations, strategic growth planning, revenue generation, and financial expense management.
- Leading initiatives for process improvement and innovation in event production (design elements, lighting, video, audio) and business operations (sales, marketing, sales funnel management).
- Leading and executing all activities related to sales funnel management including lead generation, client inquiries, presentations, quotes, contract negotiations, and client management.
- Leading, coordinating, and participating in all activities related to onsite event management and production, as well as providing technical support when required.
- Providing a range of support activities to the CEO to enhance the company's growth potential.
Qualifications and Expertise Required for the Contract:
The contractor must possess the following experience and skill sets to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the operations management services:
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the event audio visual field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a AV1, V1 and L1 and comprehensive knowledge in Staging and Rigging
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business management developing and executing strategic growth plans for event production companies with $ 1M or more in annual revenue
- Minimum 3 years of experience in directly managing event production crews
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, including delivering proposals to clients
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading process improvement initiatives across various business aspects
- Minimum of 2 year of experience with job costing, creating quotes, and mockups for event production (conferences, private events, concerts)
- Demonstrated keen awareness of all aspects of event management with a proactive approach to addressing challenges
- Proven track record in building relationships with diverse stakeholders such as clients, venue managers, freelancers, subcontractors, and crews
- Strong problem-solving skills to devise mutually beneficial solutions
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Proficient in professional verbal and written communication
- Proficient in various computer software applications (GSuite, Monday.com, Lasso.com, Tave.com, Canva.com, etc.)
- Flexible availability including nights and weekends with willingness to travel out of state
- Ability to meet in person as needed
- Capable of lifting 75+ lbs and working on your feet for extended periods
- Possession of reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

Hour of Contract:
Scope of services must include flexible hours Mondays through Sundays. The number of the hours a week will be dependent on the workload. The scope of services required includes time for in person meetings as well as at events
Monthly Retainer: The potential value of this contract ranges from $ 6,500/month - $ 7,500/month - Depending upon the experience and level of services the contractor can provide. The scope of services will be negotiated with the ideal contractor.
Contractors meeting these qualifications will be invited to an interview to screen for qualifications.
