POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a resourceful and tech-savvy self-starter to join the Bonneville legal team. The Legal Operations Manager will play a critical role on our lean legal team to help us navigate the complex and ever-evolving media law landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to fill a newly redesigned role. The Legal Operations Manager will ensure efficiency and effectiveness or our Legal Operations, overseeing key aspects such as process improvement, technology implementation, financial management, and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities will include managing the legal intake process, coordinating workflow, driving automation initiatives, preparing ad-hoc reports, developing contract inventory and document management system, and overseeing other legal projects and initiatives.
We’re seeking candidates who have excellent project management abilities, an interest in contract management and legal processes, and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed, along with skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with company internal departments and external legal business partners and collaborators.
This position is a hybrid role that requires the employee to work 3 days per week at our Salt Lake City headquarters. Please note: work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, operations management, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in Legal Operations, project management, paralegal services, or a closely related field. Prefer minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a corporate environment.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to complete projects on time with great attention to detail.
- Experience with legal technology (evaluation and implementation of solutions) OR other business operations technology.
- Skilled in optimizing and streamlining operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ability to connect with, build and maintain relationships with people at all levels and across organizations.
- Proficiency in project management, overseeing and executing various operational initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Adaptability in navigating and leading through change.
- Proven ability to handle stress.
- Experience drafting contracts and other legal documents preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:
Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage day-to-day workflow for the legal department.
- Collaborate with legal leadership to develop and maintain standard operating procedures and identify opportunities to streamline legal processes and workflows to optimize efficiency.
- Direct both the legal intake and contract management systems to ensure prompt assignment of matters to attorneys for legal review.
- Oversee the integration of legal software and systems to improve workflow automation and data management in coordination with Bonneville technology team.
- Manage administrative aspects of outside counsel and vendor relationships.
- Draft emails, agendas, letters, presentations, and other correspondence, to high quality standards.
- Assist with managing corporate filings and reports, trademark administration and clearance, and station FCC filing obligations, in each case ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Support the legal team with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
