Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager

Position Summary: Mid-level leadership responsibility. Oversees Warehouse Operations and processes, ensuring the availability of tools for successful day-to-day tasks. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

About Us: Quality Distribution, LLC., a leading Third Party Warehouse and Distribution Company based in Utah, is currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Operations Manager to join our Warehouse Operations team. Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse supervisors, forklift operators, and material handlers. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  2. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
  3. Manage warehouse processes and continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse, including aspects of shipping, receiving, warehouse cleanliness, inventories, and planning.
  4. Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  5. Investigate mis-shipments, damages, and other issues, issuing Corrective Action Reports as needed. Work cross-functionally to resolve customer concerns and questions.
  6. Provide weekly reporting to leadership, including designated metrics such as KPIs, Building Capacity, and others as needed for accurate decision-making.
  7. Participate in regular meetings with the Warehouse Management Team to train, provide forecasting, and develop an interdependent warehouse system.
  8. Assist in developing policies and procedures that promote company core values and organizational goals.
  9. Responsible for assisting in managing WHS safety, security, and cleanliness. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  10. Work with the Customer Service Manager to assist in customer onboarding, ensuring warehouse compliance with customer storage needs and internal procedures.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in Warehouse Operations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. English/Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of ISO/SQF certification standards.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Operations. Master’s Degree is a plus. 3-5 years of Warehouse or Inventory Experience. OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Six Sigma Certification (optional)
  • Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment (preferred).

While carrying out job responsibilities, the employee will routinely engage in tasks involving manual dexterity, such as using hands for handling, feeling, and talking or hearing. Sitting is a frequent requirement, and the employee is also regularly expected to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and perform activities like stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Occasionally, the employee may need to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision and the ability to adjust focus for reading small print on screens and labels.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud depending on operating in an office or in the warehouse.
